Welcome to the website of our cattery. My name is Tatiana Simakova, and I'm the founder of the cattery named «Color Richness», which is based in Rostov-on-Don. The cattery is engaged in selective breeding of folded and straight ear cats, which come in a shorthair and longhair variety.

they are smart, and this breed is known to be intelligent, for example, they tend not to respond to the banal chh-chh-chh, but only to their own names, which they memorize very quickly; they can find hidden objects and generally surprise their owners.

the colors of Scottish Folds are presented in a large variety of coat and eye colors: from solid ones to precious (gold and silver chinchillas), as well as color variations and patterned colors.

We carefully select our breeders in many ways. Thus, we consider the breeding lines, the genotype and phenotype characteristics of each animal. Due to the selection peculiarity of the breed having the fold gene, pairs are selected from different branches of the Scottish Folds (fold + straight). Therefore, there are both straight and folded ear cats in our cattery.
Charming, small, fluffy kittens are born in our cattery. They surprise us every day by opening their eyes, beginning to crawl, taking an interest in toys. Only by picking up this tiny miracle, you experience incredible emotions, and it also starts purring as soon as you stroke it and talk with this alien creature called a cat. You are overwhelmed with touching its soft coat, watching at its surprised and at the same time piercing look; the very idea that you are responsible for this unearthly creature is breathtaking. You will be curiously expecting that cherished time when you can finally reveal your cat to have folded or straight ears because the Scottish folds are born with straight ones. When only they are 3 weeks old, it is apparent whether they are of folded or straight type; that is the main intrigue of this breed.

My husband and I couldn’t pull ourselves together after our cat died 2 years ago. But when we saw that tiny creature, a folded ear cat with big eyes, we couldn’t but take her. We are so excited about this little and quick beauty, so it can’t be put into words. Igrit has time for everything, she helps with everything. She calls us for playing with her, the cat likes foil balls; we play football. The cat likes to be chased and when we clap hands, so she runs from one loggia to another through 2 rooms, then she falls down which means that she is tired. Our grandma, who is 84, buys her toys. We love our cat very much!

What kind of wonderful kittens you have in the cattery! If I had a chance, I would take them all, but I couldn’t, so had to decide for a long time. When I arrived, it was not a girl kitten (which I expected to take) to come up to me, but a boy one! Everybody in our family loves Dantik, we adore him. The children play with the cat, and he will never let his claws come out. I wonder that he doesn’t mew, only purrs and it seems that he is talking. Such a fun. I didn’t know the Scottish Folds to be so unusual cats. I will recommend your cattery to all my acquaintances.
